Big Duck, a 4 year old Khaki Campbell drake, flaps the water off his wings after taking a bath in the sandbox.
Macho, the equine bulldozer, snowplows through a frosty pile of snow to locate crunchy gourmet grass underneath. He’s even acquired snowballs on his ears and frosting in his mane. Now, all he needs is icicles in his tail to blend in with this wintery landscape. Maybe he’ll even try to make a snowman.
Borg is a very fancy Ameraucana hen. She lays eggs of the most brilliant green but often hides her nest in a bush or under the porch, so they are not often found. She is 3 years old and can run like the wind. However, she almost stops and poses when you take a photo of her.
She can fly very high into a tree or onto a railing. She never really seems to be part of the flock but rather follows behind. She chases the smaller hens and gets chased by the larger ones. She is hard to catch but, when finally caught, is really a very sweet bird.
