Equine Parasites

Nematode: a slender, unsegmented cylindrical parasite that is tapered at each end.

Some Nematodes that infect the horse include Parascaris Equorum, Strongylus Vulgaris, Strongylus Equinus, Strongyloides Westeri, Oxyuris Equi and Strongylus Edentatus, among many others.

Nematodosis is loss of coordination; as the name suggests, it is caused by a nematode.
