Autumn

Scatter, scatter over ground

pitter, patter melodious sound

dance with wind and catch the rain

stick softly to the windowpane

twinkle downwards in the fall

crinkle to the Blue-jay’s call

remind us of the summers past

sun-soaked days are fleeting — fast

rainbow carpet on the ground

apples, pumpkins, spice abound!

Branches quiver bare on trees

all memories should last like these

leaves are falling on the fall

sorrow now is fleeting, small

dry leaves twirling in the sky

it’s a now-or-never chance to fly
