It’s the new year, and a supposedly fresh start. New beginnings. Cold weather. And it’s time for this blog to celebrate six years!
This is two ponies dressed up with ribbons in their manes and tails, done in colored pencils. The first one is on “good” paper with many light layers of different colors and barely any gray pencils used and the second one is on really cheap paper with fewer layers and less mixing of different colors and a blurry photograph.
This is a drawing/painting of my rooster Tick-Tock, made in PhotoShop. I miss him a lot. Unfinished (especially the background).
Drawing of Katie! She is a Miniature Horse (essentially a Shetland Pony). I think I overdid the hairiness, but Shetland Ponies sure are furry! She has Catfish-like whiskers, so I added those too.
This is the third piece of art that I have ever posted on this blog. This is a Morgan or Arabian mare. She has a dappled Wild Bay coat. Painted in PhotoShop (digital art).
As someone said during the Space Race, “We don’t do this because it’s easy; we do it because it’s hard.” Tobiano Paint mare drawing (digital). I think its head is too tall by its ears. Oh, well. It’s a cartoon made without looking at a picture or a real horse so it’s going to be distorted.
Completed Dartmoor Pony drawing. My first attempt at digital art in a while (made in PhotoShop). It’s supposed to be a small icon, like this: .
Some drawing I was making in PhotoShop until PhotoShop crashed. (Unfinished.) It will be a bay Dartmoor pony, with characteristic lighter fur around the muzzle and thick eyelashes.
